How to build from the plan

Mark the centre with a block and measure the rows from it: the red lines on the plan are the axes through the centre, and hovering shows a cell's coordinates and the length of its row. It is easiest to start with the longest row in the middle and work outwards — any mistake shows up in the symmetry.

Spheres and domes go layer by layer from the bottom up: pick a layer with the slider and the 3D view highlights it in green. For a dome over a base, choose the hollow variant with a thick wall so there are no gaps for light or mobs.

How do you build a smooth circle in Minecraft?

Pick a diameter, place a marker block at the centre, and build row by row: the generator shows each row's X range relative to the centre. An odd diameter is easier — the circle has a centre block; an even one is centred on the corner where four blocks meet.

What is the difference between a thin and a thick outline?

In a thin outline neighbouring blocks only touch at the corners where the line runs diagonally. It looks clean and saves blocks, but you can see through those spots and water leaks through. A thick outline fills the diagonal gaps so the wall has no holes.

How many blocks does a sphere need?

It depends on the diameter and whether it is hollow or solid. A hollow sphere 15 blocks across takes 530 blocks with a thin wall and 890 with a thick one, while a solid sphere takes 1,791. The generator counts exactly, splits it into layers, converts it into stacks, and highlights the layer you are building in the 3D view.
