How to find

Deserts form large bright regions beside other warm biomes. Temples and villages are easy to spot from elevation, though the game has no mirages.

Terrain and features

Terrain consists of sand dunes with sandstone beneath. Rain does not fall, and natural water and vegetation are limited.

Resources and mobs

Cacti provide green dye, sand becomes glass, and temples contain loot above a TNT trap. Hostile mobs fill the open terrain at night.

Survival and building

Bring wood, food, and a bed because natural trees are scarce. In temples, avoid the central pressure plate and descend along a wall.
