How to obtain
The totem is guaranteed to drop from an evoker. Evokers appear in woodland mansions and raids, and a raid farm makes the item renewable.
Primary use
The totem cancels fatal damage, leaves the player with a small amount of health, and grants protective effects. It only works from the main hand or off-hand.
Important mechanics
Activation does not protect against the void or the /kill command. One totem saves the player once and is consumed immediately, so spare totems should remain accessible.
Practical tips
Keep a totem in the off-hand while exploring ancient cities, the Nether, or difficult raids. Check whether a shield or food item has replaced it before a dangerous fight.
