Where to find
Blazes spawn naturally throughout Nether fortresses and especially around dedicated spawners. Suppressing the spawner requires an unusually high light level.
Behavior and danger
After acquiring a target, a blaze rises, ignites, fires a three-shot volley, and pauses before repeating. It can also deal melee damage.
Drops and uses
A player-killed blaze drops rods for brewing stands, fuel, and Eyes of Ender. Looting increases the potential quantity.
Strategy and edition notes
Fire Resistance neutralizes most danger and a shield blocks projectiles. Java and Bedrock differ in some projectile and spawning details, but an enclosed chamber remains safest.
