How to obtain
A brush is crafted from a feather, copper ingot, and stick. All components are renewable, so crafting several before an expedition is inexpensive.
Primary use
Hold use on suspicious sand or gravel. After brushing completes, the block releases one item from its loot table and becomes an ordinary block.
Important mechanics
Falling or breaking a suspicious block with a normal tool destroys its hidden loot. Brush durability is consumed as excavation stages complete.
Practical tips
Stabilize the area around a find first, especially underwater or in gravel. Add Unbreaking and Mending to a primary brush for long excavations.
