Chaos Cubed
The release adds sulfur caves, sulfur and cinnabar block sets, springs and geysers, Potent Sulfur, and the block-absorbing Sulfur Cube.
Gameplay and social features
Absorbed blocks change the Sulfur Cube for contraptions and play. Java Edition also gains the Friends List and related online improvements.
Graphics and compatibility
OpenGL remains the default graphics API while Vulkan is experimental. Check mods, resource packs, and server plugins before moving an established world.
Who should update
This is the recommended stable release for normal play. Back up worlds and never open the only copy in 26.3 snapshots if you may return to 26.2.
