Damage specialization
Sharpness can be replaced by Smite V or Bane of Arthropods V, but damage specializations conflict.
Lunge III
A jab provides a horizontal burst while consuming hunger and 1 durability; it does not work in water or during elytra flight.
Practical use
Do not stand too close: the spear has a minimum effective distance, and Knockback helps preserve spacing.
