Spawning

Parched replace some ordinary skeleton spawns in deserts at light level zero and follow husk rules that keep them out of caves. They also commonly occupy the rear seat on a camel husk.

Attack

Its arrows inflict Weakness, reducing the player's melee effectiveness. The firing rate is slower than a normal skeleton and closer to a bogged, but open desert terrain provides long sight lines.

Sunlight immunity

Unlike an ordinary skeleton, a parched does not ignite during the day. Waiting for sunrise will not solve the encounter automatically, so desert travel still calls for a shield, ranged weapon, and food.

Strategy

Against a camel patrol, block the arrows first, then reposition so the mount's body obstructs the second rider. A shield stops normal hits, while milk removes Weakness if the effect prevents a clean follow-up.
