Where to find
Endermen spawn occasionally in the Overworld and Nether and abundantly in the End. Their height requires open space, so low ceilings restrict access.
Behavior and danger
Direct eye contact or an attack triggers hostility. Endermen teleport when threatened, avoid water and most projectiles, and sometimes move permitted blocks.
Drops and uses
The key drop is an ender pearl for teleportation and Eyes of Ender. An End farm supplies both pearls and large amounts of experience.
Strategy and edition notes
Stand beneath a two-block ceiling and attack the legs, or trap one in a boat. Water repels it; teleport details differ by edition, but low cover works in both.
