How to recognize it
Sulfur Caves stand out through yellow deposits, vivid pools, reddish cinnabar, and spike clusters on floors and ceilings. Granite and tuff break up the main stone palette, making the biome boundary visible without debug data.
What to collect
Sulfur and cinnabar form full decorative families with polished, brick, chiseled, slab, stair, and wall variants. Sulfur spikes can also be crafted into sulfur blocks, so large clusters are worth harvesting.
Geysers and hazards
Potent sulfur beneath water sources and above magma creates a geyser that periodically launches entities upward. Check a pool before crossing because the impulse can disrupt movement or lift a mob onto the player's ledge.
Sulfur Cubes
The local mob absorbs suitable blocks and changes physical behavior, becoming slippery, bouncy, sticky, or able to carry primed TNT. Shears return the inserted block, while small cubes grow when fed slimeballs.
