Protects villagers, launches enemies with heavy attacks, and can be constructed by a player.

Protects villagers, launches enemies with heavy attacks, and can be constructed by a player.
Where to find
Golems spawn through village conditions or are built from four iron blocks and a carved pumpkin. Village spawning requirements differ by edition.
Behavior and danger
A golem patrols its settlement and attacks most hostile mobs, launching targets upward. A natural golem can retaliate for harming villagers or poor reputation.
Drops and uses
Iron ingots make golems the basis of iron farms, with poppies as a secondary drop. A damaged golem can be repaired using iron ingots.
Strategy and edition notes
Do not attack a village golem without safe elevation because its melee damage is severe. Choose farm designs specifically for Java or Bedrock due to fundamentally different spawn conditions.
