Spawning
Zombie nautiluses appear in oceans with drowned riders that normally carry tridents. Warm oceans can produce a rare coral variant with a distinct appearance.
When it is dangerous
The mob is hostile only while controlled by a hostile rider. Its main threat is fast underwater movement combined with ranged trident throws, so break line of sight and separate the drowned first.
Taming and equipment
After removing the rider, a zombie nautilus can be tamed with pufferfish, saddled, and equipped with nautilus armor. It retains the dash and air effect but cannot breed like a normal nautilus.
Drops and tactics
It drops rotten flesh, with Looting able to increase the amount. If you want the mount, stop attacking after defeating the drowned; prepare pufferfish in advance and move the tamed nautilus into safe water.
