Stable changes
Version 26.40 contains broad gameplay, accessibility, UI, graphics, and creator fixes. It is the base release followed by hotfixes 26.41 through 26.45.
Drop 3 experiment
With experiments enabled, players can test abandoned camps, poplar blocks, wool stairs and slabs, cushions, shelf mushrooms, and straw beds. These features may still change.
For add-on creators
Entity and item schema validation, networking, graphics, and generated JSON Schema changed. Packs that previously loaded despite invalid data may require fixes.
Updating a world
Normal players should install the latest available 26.45 hotfix instead of remaining on 26.40. Enable experimental toggles only in a copied world.
