How to obtain
An Eye is crafted from an ender pearl and blaze powder. Stronghold preparation therefore requires visiting the Nether, finding a fortress, and collecting blaze rods.
Primary use
A thrown eye travels toward the nearest stronghold, then drops or shatters. Inside the stronghold, up to twelve eyes are placed into the portal frames.
Important mechanics
Recheck the direction every few hundred blocks rather than throwing constantly. Java and Bedrock generate strongholds differently, but the locating method is the same.
Practical tips
Carry well over twelve eyes because some will break and portal frames are rarely complete. Bearings from two separated positions help estimate the intersection point.
