Armor Trim Smithing Templates
Apply decorative patterns to armor without changing its protection values.

Apply decorative patterns to armor without changing its protection values.
How to obtain
Patterns come from different structures, including strongholds, End cities, ancient cities, and trial chambers. A few templates can also come from mobs.
Primary use
A smithing table combines the template, armor piece, and trim material. Material controls color and template controls geometry; armor protection remains unchanged.
Important mechanics
The operation consumes the template and material. A trim can be replaced, but prior ingredients are not returned; leather armor can combine dye and trim.
Practical tips
Preview a full set in the generator and compare material contrast first. Duplicate rare templates before use, especially when trimming all four armor pieces.
