How to obtain
A regular golden apple is crafted by surrounding an apple with eight gold ingots. It can also appear in several structure loot chests.
Primary use
Eating it grants regeneration and extra absorption hearts. Combined with Weakness, it starts the process of curing a zombie villager.
Important mechanics
This is not an enchanted golden apple: its effects are weaker, but it is renewable and craftable. Lost absorption hearts are not restored by ordinary food.
Practical tips
Carry several apples into raids and fortresses, and eat before contact so absorption can take the first hit. Prepare a sealed curing room for zombie villagers.
